Here are some of the comforts and conveniences our community members enjoy:
- Access to Lake Hickory via paved community boat launch access area. Coded gate utilized for security. Private dock and day slips available to residents and guests.
- Bass, crappie, catfish. Anglers and fisherman enjoy year round fishing. Fishing tournaments during summer months
- Interest groups, including water aerobics, bridge clubs, book clubs, and golf clubs, tennis clubs, running clubs, all close
- The Woodlands, which is an active adult community for those 55 or older allows us to be two communities in one.
- Underground utilities, including city water, sewer, street lights, and natural gas
- Trash Pick up. Roads maintained by city.

Players Ridge Golf Club. An 18-hole, 6,600-yard, par-72 course designed by Karl Litten. Community driving range and putting green. Open to public.

Hickory also offers many modern conveniences: Medical facilities like Catawba Valley Medical Center and Frye Regional are close. Both hospitals have received recognition for excellence in the care they provide. Carolina's Medical Center and Duke hospitals are easily reached by automobile. Charlotte Douglas International Airport is only an hour away and the Blue Ridge Parkway is just a 45-minute drive into the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Oliver’s Landing residents also enjoy favorable tax rates based upon Alexander County taxes.
